Floyd Pecor, 34, of Morrisville has received a suspended sentence for a domestic incident in Wolcott April 28.
Pecor pleaded guilty Sept. 5 in Lamoille Superior court to three misdemeanor charges — interfering with access to emergency services, reckless endangerment, and negligent driving.
Pecor received a suspended jail sentence of one to two years; he won’t have to serve any jail time if he stays out of trouble. He was placed on probation for two years.
According to an affidavit filed with the court, Pecor got into an argument with his wife at their home. At one point, he walked outside and fired his shotgun three times into the air, and told his wife he had shot it at her car so she couldn’t leave.
When she tried to call for help, he ripped the phone out of the wall and said, “You’re not calling anybody,” the affidavit said.
Three children, ages 10, 12 and 13, were in the home at the time, the affidavit said.
In a plea agreement, a felony count of unlawful second-degree restraint and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct were dropped.
