On Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24, swimmers from around the U.S. participated in the 3rd Vermonster Fundraising Pool Swim both at The Swimming Hole in Stowe and virtually.

In total, 25 swimmers swam 30,000 lengths of the pool, or 450 miles, raising $7,000 to support free learn-to-swim lessons for Vermont adults who face economic or other barriers preventing them from learning to swim.

The Swimming Hole has provided more than 1,000 free swim lessons to adults.

Local marathon swimmers included Paula Yankauskas of Hyde Park, Maddie Strasen of Stowe and Amrey Ferrario of Cambridge.
